The program objectives for our grant fund are designed to promote thrift among our members, educate members in the prudent use of money and credit and improve the community in which we operate. Shared Dividends

  • Bonus dividends are part of the First Missouri difference.

First Missouri Credit Union was the first credit union to be chartered in the state in 1927. As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, all members share in the net profits of the credit union by receiving dividends on their savings. These savings, in turn, are pooled to make low-cost loans to fellow members.

Privacy, Security & Fraud

First Missouri Credit Union’s privacy notice information is reviewed and posted annually for member examination. Interested members may also request a hard copy notice by contacting the credit union. Privacy notice information outlines the important guidelines that determine how we handle your personal financial information and help ensure a high standard of confidentiality.

Your money (up to $250,000) is fully insured by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government. Your IRA funds are separately insured up to $250,000. The NCUA is the strongest federally insured deposit agency - keeping your money safe at the credit union.

Help First Missouri Credit Union protect your account and cards from fraud by making sure your account is up to date with your most current email address and mobile number.

First Missouri Credit Union now has another layer of security between you and would-be fraudsters … and there’s no cost to you! Text and email notifications are available when suspected fraudulent transactions are authorized using your Visa® debit card.

These notifications will give you the opportunity to either:

  • Confirm the authorization in question is fraudulent, effectively blocking the card from further use, or
  • Verify the transaction’s validity, preventing any stoppage in card usage.

All Visa debit cardholders will automatically be enrolled in this free service. If you have any questions about this service, need to provide updated contact information or wish to opt out, please contact our office and speak to one of our member service representatives.
